Acceptance and eligibility
By using motifuse.com you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Where you use Motifuse on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
Creating an account, subscribing, or commissioning a project requires the legal capacity to enter into a contract. In India that is 18. The free public tools are a general-audience service and are not directed to children under 13.
What Motifuse provides
| Part of the service | What it is | What it requires |
|---|---|---|
| Public tools | A directory of browser-based calculators, converters, formatters, and file utilities, plus guides and articles. | Nothing. No account, no payment. Eligible pages may show advertising. |
| Reconova | Data-quality studio. Free in the browser; paid plans add secure cloud processing. | Free tier needs no account. Cloud processing needs an account and a subscription. |
| DocForge | Document production from a template and a spreadsheet. Free local batches; paid plans add cloud batches. | Free tier needs no account. Cloud batches need an account and a subscription. |
| SpecTrace | Document change review. A free tier with real limits; Pro raises them and adds text recognition. | Can be started without an account as a guest. Pro needs an account and a subscription. |
| Workspaces | The authenticated, ad-free environment holding your projects, subscriptions, billing, and support. | An account. |
| Private tools | Custom tools and workflows built to order and delivered into your workspace. | An accepted written quotation. See the Private Tool Service Terms below. |
Order of precedence
If documents conflict, the more specific one wins for the thing it covers, in this order: an accepted written quotation for a custom project; the Private Tool Service Terms below; these Terms; then the Acceptable Use Policy, Content Policy, Copyright Policy, and Disclaimer, each of which forms part of this agreement.
Accounts
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the details on your account and for everything done through it.
- Sign-in is by single-use emailed link or by a password you set. Treat both as credentials — a sign-in link works for anyone holding it within its validity window.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
- Do not share access beyond what your plan permits, and do not resell access without written permission.
- You can close your account by contacting us. Closure is handled manually and does not by itself cancel a subscription — cancel that from the workspace first.
Premium subscriptions
Plans, prices, billing periods, and included capabilities are shown on the product and pricing pages before checkout. The following applies to every self-service subscription:
- Payment is collected at checkout through Razorpay. Where you authorise a recurring subscription, it renews automatically each billing cycle until you cancel it.
- You can cancel at any time from the workspace. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and access continues until then.
- There is no free trial at present. If one is introduced, its duration and what happens at the end of it will be stated before you start.
- If a renewal payment fails or a mandate is halted, we may suspend the subscription's paid capabilities after the paid period ends. Your existing data remains readable.
- Plans include stated limits and quotas. Fair use applies, and we may throttle or restrict usage that degrades the service for others.
- Prices may change. Changes apply from a future billing cycle and are visible before they take effect.
- Taxes, where applicable, are confirmed at checkout. Billing is in Indian rupees; any local-currency figures shown elsewhere are approximate.
- After a subscription ends, cloud data is subject to the retention windows in the Privacy Policy. Export what you need before they lapse.
Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Razorpay on its own checkout. Motifuse never receives your card, UPI, or banking credentials. A payment is treated as made only on a verified provider notification; pending or failed transactions are not treated as paid. Where a tax invoice is issued, it is generated from the details you supply. In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute we may suspend related access while it is resolved.
Beta and promotional access
Some products run a promotional access programme in which a signed-in workspace receives paid-tier entitlements without a subscription, in exchange for feedback. Where this is active it is stated on the product page.
- Promotional access is granted at our discretion and can be changed or withdrawn, with the affected plan reverting to its normal terms.
- Published limits, privacy controls, retention rules, and this agreement apply during promotional access exactly as they would on a paid plan.
- Features described as beta may change, behave inconsistently, or be removed. Do not depend on a beta feature for work you cannot redo.
Private Tool Service Terms (version PTS-2026-07)
These additional terms apply to paid custom services — private tools, workflows, and related builds delivered to order. Where they conflict with the general terms above, these apply to those projects. The version identifier is recorded with every quotation acceptance.
- Submitting a request is free and creates no obligation on either side. Every request is reviewed manually, and Motifuse may decline a project at its discretion — including projects involving unsafe, unlawful, highly regulated, or unnecessarily sensitive data.
- Each project is governed by a written quotation defining scope, deliverables, exclusions, pricing, payment schedule, included revision rounds, and project-specific terms. The quotation version you accept is the operative description of the work.
- Work begins only after you accept the quotation and the required deposit or setup payment is verified. Estimated durations are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed dates.
- Work outside the accepted scope is handled as a separate change request with its own estimate. Revision rounds beyond those included may be chargeable.
- Unless a separate source-code transfer is purchased and recorded in the quotation, Motifuse retains ownership of reusable frameworks, generic components, and development tooling. You retain ownership of your data and the customer-specific content you provide, and receive the delivered tool for your use as described in the quotation.
- Optional hosting and maintenance plans cover the services described in the quotation while the plan is active. Renewal reminders are sent before expiry; after a grace period an unpaid plan lapses. Maintenance autopay, where authorised, renews automatically until cancelled.
- Delivered tools are provided in your private, ad-free workspace. Access can be revoked for non-payment, abuse, or termination, subject to the accepted quotation.
- Cancellation and refund handling follows the accepted quotation. Amounts already paid for work already performed are generally not refundable unless the quotation says otherwise.
- Project records, quotations, and acceptance records are retained as business records. Confidential information you share for a project is used only to deliver it.
Nothing in this service guarantees project acceptance, business outcomes, regulatory compliance, search-engine or advertising approval, or absolute security. Specific commitments exist only where the accepted quotation states them.
Your content and outputs
What stays yours
You keep the rights you already hold in anything you type into a tool, upload to a workspace, or process with a premium product. We claim no ownership of it. Outputs generated from your inputs — documents, cleaned datasets, exports, comparison records — are yours to use, subject to the rights in the material you provided.
The permission you give us
You grant Motifuse only the limited permission needed to operate the feature you requested: to parse, convert, render, compare, store, deliver, and secure your content for that purpose. That permission ends when the content is deleted or its retention window lapses. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not share it with other customers.
What you are confirming
By submitting content you confirm you have the right to submit it and to have it processed, and that doing so does not breach the law, a third party’s rights, or an obligation you owe to someone else.
Intellectual property
Motifuse owns or licenses the site’s original text, design, interface, logos, software, and product implementations. Third-party open-source components remain under their own licences. You may link to Motifuse pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. Details, including how to send a copyright complaint, are in the Copyright and Takedown Policy.
Your responsibilities
The Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may not do and how those rules are enforced; it forms part of this agreement. In summary, do not use Motifuse for anything unlawful or harmful, do not process data you have no right to process, do not attempt to bypass quotas or security controls, and do not degrade the service for other people.
Accuracy and no professional advice
Calculators, converters, data-quality scores, comparison findings, and AI-assisted drafts are aids, not authorities. They do not constitute financial, tax, legal, medical, employment, immigration, engineering, or regulatory advice. Check anything that matters against an authoritative source or a qualified professional before you rely on it. The Disclaimer sets out the specific limits per tool category.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may be added, changed, limited, or withdrawn, and maintenance or provider incidents may interrupt access. No uptime guarantee or service-level agreement applies to any self-service plan. Where a change materially reduces a paid capability you rely on, we will give notice in the workspace or by email where reasonably practical.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Motifuse at any time, cancel a subscription from the workspace, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are breached, where required by law, where payment fails or is disputed, or where continued use presents a risk to the service or to others. Where the circumstances allow, we will warn before acting; suspected unlawful activity may be acted on immediately.
On termination, retention windows in the Privacy Policy govern what happens to stored data. Export anything you need first.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motifuse is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from error. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motifuse is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, total aggregate liability for claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Motifuse in that period, or ₹1,000. For custom projects, any liability cap stated in the accepted quotation applies instead. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
You agree to indemnify Motifuse against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, your breach of law, or your infringement of another person’s rights — including claims arising from content or data you submit for processing.
Governing law
Motifuse is operated from India. These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the service, are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under mandatory local law, the courts located in Kerala, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
If a dispute arises, please start with the contact form. Most issues are resolved directly.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the platform, the law, or our practices change. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes affecting paid services will be notified in the workspace or by email before they take effect where reasonably practical. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms; an accepted quotation keeps the terms version recorded at acceptance.
